NORFOLK - The Lutheran High Eagles gave everything they had, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Norfolk Catholic Knights on Tuesday night.

The Knights earned a thrilling 3-0 over their cross-town opponent, improving to 5-1 on the season. Norfolk Catholic earn set victories of 25-21, 25-22, and 26-24 as the Eagles seemed to get stronger the longer the match continued.

In each set, the Eagles made late rallies to try and steal a win from the Knights, but Norfolk Catholic was able to hold on each time. The Eagles attempted a furious comeback late in set three, even taking a 24-23 lead and playing for the set win. The Knights were able to rally back, and score three straight points to close the match out.

Mary Fennessy, Channatee Robles, and Hayden Wolf were all key contributors for the Knights, while the Eagles were paced by the offensive firepower of junior Becca Gebhardt. Up next for the Knights, a road match against Wahoo, while the now 5-3 Eagles will compete in the Wakefield Tournament.
