Penny Sue Phillips, 55 of Schuyler, Nebraska, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the St. Elizabeth's Regional Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was born on June 20, 1970, in Beatrice, Nebraska to Marvin and Janet (Burroughs) Phillips.  Penny graduated from Wymore Southern High School with the class of 1988 and later attended cosmetology school in Fremont, Nebraska.  For over 20 years, Penny was a dedicated manager at a deli in Schuyler, Nebraska. She was known for her compassion, friendly smile, and warm laugh. Penny will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and love she shared with everyone around her. She especially cherished time spent with her family and friends.

 Penny is survived by her special friend, Mike Urbanek, her father, Marvin Phillips, her brother, Terry Phillips and his wife Alice, her sister, Tammy Zarybnicky and husband Rick, 5 nieces and 1 nephew, and several great-nieces and great-nephews who will miss her dearly.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Phillips. 

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice with Pastor Art Moore officiating.  Inurnment will immediately follow at the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family's choice with a later designation.
